Polarity


Electricity flows in one direction in an LED circuit, from + to + and - to -. Because of this the circuit is said to have polarity. Electrical components with polarity will only work properly when the electrical current flows through them in a particular direction, from the (+) side of the battery through the load and back to the to (-) side of the battery.
