Explorers Session 4

PLEASE READ: An eLEAP pledge to Camp Echo does not guarantee a spot in camp. If you have not secured a spot in the Camp Echo Early Registration Lottery, please attempt to secure a spot in the Jan 6th Open Enrollment, which is first come first serve. If a program is full and you pledge eLEAP money to it, you will be placed on the waitlist.

The Explorers program serves as a transition from Traditional Camp into Teen Leadership programs for rising 9th graders. During the first week, Explorers focus on building strong group bonds and exploring what it means to be a young leader. Campers participate in camp activities, or “camptivities,” alongside Traditional Camp and join them for the Saturday Camp Olympics.

In the second week, participants deepen their understanding of individual and group leadership while working on specialized service projects aimed at improving the camp community. Explorers participate in a local off-site excursion to learn more about how individuals and organizations turn their passions into service for their communities.

As part of the teen programs, Explorers will have the opportunity to participate in more teen-specific activities like overnights, high ropes, and a gathering of all teens on site.
